San Diego 2025 STRO Inventory Review — January to July

Two recovered inventories show 9,194 licenses in January and 8,180 in July; the intervening months and year-end remain unavailable.

Two observations, with limited annual coverage

The recovered inventory falls from 9,194 licenses on January 22 to 8,180 on July 10, a net difference of 1,014 fewer licenses. July excludes one explicitly labeled City test record; both inventories retain expired-looking licenses and unknown geographic assignments.

This is a review of the recovered January-to-July observations, not a full-year change. No intervening monthly inventories or December closing inventory were recovered. The records do not identify when or why the count changed.

The City program history provides a separate, more frequent set of issued-license and availability figures. Those totals are not interchangeable with the complete inventory.

This review compares the explicitly listed observations below. Missing months are not interpolated. A license leaving the published inventory does not establish revocation, sale, or cessation of rental activity.
